Taniuba 是我們的孔雀角色，代表了我們作為生活在亞洲（首先是日本，現在是台灣）的西方設計師兼藝術家的文化衝擊。 我們欣賞日本和台灣如何在保留古老傳統的同時繼續發展當代文化，保持過去與現在的和諧。 作為一個以絲網印刷為主的紡織品牌，我們採用手工技術設計、開發和印刷原創圖案和顏色，同時保留活性染料和絲網印刷技術的傳統，該技術正在逐漸從紡織行業消失。 在 Taniuba，我們希望通過我們的圖案和布料中所呈現的故事，提高人們對不同文化中不同生活方式的認識與理解，進一步透過我們鮮豔的色彩創造和平與和諧的生活方式，培養尊重和欣賞不同的意見和世界觀。
Taniuba is our peacock-character that represents our cultural shock as a Westerner designer-artist living in Asia, first in Japan and now in Taiwan. We appreciate how both Japan and Taiwan keep their old traditions while moving on with their contemporary culture, keeping the harmony between past and present. As a screen-print-based textile brand, we design, develop and print original patterns and colors using manual techniques, while preserving the tradition of the reactive dyes and the screen-printing technique, which is gradually disappearing from the textile industry. We, at Taniuba, want to raise awareness about and promote the understanding of different ways of life among different cultures through the stories presented in our patterns and fabrics, and to create peaceful and harmonious lifestyles through our vibrant colors, looking to foster respect and appreciation to different opinions and world views.
